Licensing terms for the use of copyrighted material

‘Almanac of Law’ is an open-access journal, which means that all its content is available free of charge to all readers and institutions.

No open access fees are charged.

Access rights

All articles published in open access are permanently and freely available to read, download, copy and distribute.

User rights

Permitted reuse of materials by third parties is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence, which allows users to copy, create extracts, summaries and new works from the article, modify and adapt the article, and make commercial use of the article (including the reuse and/or resale of the article by commercial entities) provided that the user provides appropriate attribution (with a link to the official publication via the relevant DOI), provides a link to the licence, indicates if changes have been made, and the licensor is not presented as endorsing the use of the work.

The publisher allows the author to deposit the final version of the article (the Author’s Accepted Manuscript) in an institutional or subject-specific repository, where it is available as open access.

Authors' rights

Authors retain copyright alongside the rights to academic use, whilst the journal *Almanac of Law* acquires the rights to publish and distribute the work. Full-text access to the journal’s academic articles is available in the Archive section. This complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative’s definition of Open Access.
