Policy of compliance with international principles and recommendations
The scientific and practical journal «Almanach prava» (hereinafter — Journal) adheres to the following principles and recommendations of international organizations (COPE, WAME, DORA, FAIR):
COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) https://publicationethics.org/
— transparency in the process of submitting, reviewing and publishing articles;
— impartiality and independence of editors and reviewers;
— availability of open procedures for considering appeals and complaints;
— retraction and correction of articles.
WAME (World Association of Medical Editors) https://www.wame.org/
— transparency of funding;
— transparency of editorial decisions;
— support for young scientists.
DORA (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment) https://sfdora.org/read/
— open access to data and codes;
— use of extended metadata and identifiers (ORCID, DOI) for accurate citation.
In line with the principles of Open Science and Open Access, and by aligning its editorial policy with the FAIR Principles, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, and other international standards for open research, the Editorial Board of Almanac of Law seeks to strengthen trust in research and supports the transparent sharing and collaborative use of research results. Research data management is carried out in accordance with the international FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), which provide a framework for facilitating the reuse of research data.
The Editorial Board encourages all authors to share their research data and to ensure that such data comply with the FAIR principles. In particular, research data should be: Findable – stored in a reliable public or institutional repository and, where possible, assigned a persistent and unique identifier (e.g., DOI); Accessible – made available to the research community through open and standardized access protocols, unless ethical, legal, contractual, or confidentiality restrictions apply; Interoperable – preserved in commonly accepted formats (e.g., PDF, XML, TXT) and accompanied by sufficient metadata to enable integration with other information resources and systems; Reusable – adequately documented and distributed under appropriate licences that allow further use while respecting academic integrity, copyright, and other applicable legal requirements.
The Editorial Board promotes the reuse of research data through a FAIR-based data availability policy. At the same time, the Journal ensures the identification and long-term traceability of publications through the assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), with complete metadata being deposited primarily in the Crossref bibliographic database and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This approach supports reliable citation practices and enables the automatic dissemination of information regarding changes in article status, including corrections and retractions.
These principles are implemented through the Journal's policies and procedures, including: Review Policy https://almanaprava.org/review-policy; Complaints Procedure https://almanaprava.org/complaints-procedure; Ethical Norms https://almanaprava.org/ethical-norms/; AI Usage Policy https://almanaprava.org/ai-usage-policy
