Causes of illegal behavior: causes of occurrence and ways of overcoming

We can draw the following conclusion: illegal behavior has an anti-social orientation. The most vulnerable group of the population, easily susceptible to social influence and ready to commit illegal acts, are teenagers. It is during adolescence that the legal awareness of a citizen begins to form. And an integral component of crime prevention is the development of legal awareness of citizens.

Of course, it is impossible to eradicate the phenomenon of illegal behavior altogether, but it is possible to minimize such cases in society. It is natural to develop measures for the maximum neutralization and in the long term (albeit distant) complete elimination of negative factors that have an impact on the commission of illegal acts.

The state, which seeks to achieve progress in overcoming illegal behavior, must fight corruption, ensure the rule of law, work on the formation of legal awareness among the young population, and promote high moral values to be significant for a person who has the opportunity to legally realize his legitimate interests.

Along with the general social and economic factors contributing to illegal behavior, the closest external and internal factors that determine one or another variant of behavior in each specific case should be taken into account. Society can protect itself from criminals not by isolating them with the help of repressive institutions, but by eliminating and blocking the causes that give rise to illegal behavior.
